What kills the snails in the tank?

You can kill snails and eggs by immersing the plant in a bleach solution. Make 1 part of plain bleach solution in 19 parts of water, which is about 3/4 cup of bleach for 1 gallon of water. Soak the plants in this solution for 2-3 minutes, remove and rinse well with running water for up to 5 minutes.
