Famous residents of the Safari River, Kai Kai and The Asia, arrived in Singapore from China in 2012 with a 10-year loan from Chinese authorities. The long-awaited birth came after the seventh breeding season of giant pandas. Kai Kai (14 years old) and The Asia (13 years old) started mating in 2015.
