So far, small bats have been found in Kanchanaburi, western Thailand, and since 2001, bats have also been found in Southeast Asia, Myanmar. Thai Bumblebee bats live in caves along the Kwai River and Sai Yok National Park. The Kitti's Hoggle (Craseonycteris thonglongyai), also known as the Bumble Bee Bat, is an endangered species and is the only surviving member of the Craseonycteridae family. It occurs in western Thailand and southeastern Myanmar and occupies a limestone cave along the river. The variety of wildlife makes Thailand an ideal home for a wide variety of animals, including: Rare Chinese gorals, many types of buffalo and wild boar, several different types of cattle, including Gaurus habubakki, found only in Thailand and Malaysia, lesser mouse-deer, different types of deer, and many other types of animals. Bats are legally protected in Thailand and part of their habitat is protected by parks. But to properly protect the seeds, we need to do more. Conservationists recommend improving the protection and management of roost caves and protecting the foraging area more extensively.


It can be seen along the southeastern part of Burma. They are also found in the western part of Thailand. I live in both forest areas and limestone caves along the river. It is also located in Sai Yok National Park.
