Su Lin (Chinese: Su Lin; Pinyin: Su Lin) is the name given to the giant panda that was captured in 1936 and brought to the United States by the animal trafficker Ruth Harkness. The first pandas were stored outside of China, but died just two years later, marking the beginning of a large series of pandas taken abroad from China.
